ABOUT ME
Sydney Pegues is a mixed media artist and archivist from Rex, Georgia. Her art combines original photography, archival family photos, magazine clippings, textured paper scraps, and organic materials to create afrosurrealist dreamscapes that transcend time and space.
Influenced by her experience growing up in a small, rural town just south of Atlanta; Sydney's art is part ancestor veneration, part self exploration. Positioning distorted silhouettes against deconstructed landscapes, she pushes
the bounds of the “natural world”.
